Top health and social care panel at Bristol Sight Loss Council event

Blind and partially sighted Bristolians can find out about health and social care support services at an event organised by Bristol Sight Loss Council on Thursday 31st March (11am – 1pm).

The event takes place  at Broadmead Baptist Church Union Street, Bristol, and via Zoom

Alun Davies, Sight Loss Council Engagement Manager for Bristol Sight Loss Council, said: “We have a panel of health and social care experts ready to answer questions on hospitals, general practice, optometry and social services in Bristol. Blind and partially sighted people will hear the experiences of others and learn more about support services available.”

Guest speakers at the VI forum include:

  • Mark Stevens, Assistant General Manager, Bristol Eye Hospital
  • Beverley Haworth, Senior Programme Lead, Bristol North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group
  • Stephen Beet, Director Adult Social Care, Bristol City Council
  • Gifty Markey, Head of Patient Experience, North Bristol NHS Trust
