Are you blind or partially sighted? Would you like practical advice about the current cost of living challenges?

If you have concerns about the challenges of the cost of living and would like practical advice on how to manage your finances more effectively, join West Yorkshire Sight Loss Council’s ‘Cost of living’ forum on 3 October 2022. This is a physical event being held in Leeds.

This free event is specifically designed for blind and partially sighted people living in West Yorkshire. Blind and partially sighted people living in the West Midlands also have the opportunity to join this event virtually, at an in-person event being held in Birmingham. Details on how to book can be found below.

Guest speakers from Citizens Advice, RNIB and energy specialists will be sharing practical advice on issues that matter to you. Topics will include advice on available benefits, help with energy price rises, and effective budget management. There will also be a practical workshop on budgeting.

The event will offer knowledge, skills and support in how to manage your finances in the current climate.

  • This event is completely free to attend, and lunch and refreshments will be provided.
  • Our West Yorkshire team will be connecting with West Midlands Sight Loss Council for this event. They will be joining us virtually from an in-person event in Birmingham. This event is a West Yorkshire Sight Loss Council event. Attending the event is also a great way to find out more about the work of the Sight Loss Council and the ways in which people can get involved.

Sight Loss Councils are led by blind and partially sighted members. Together, they tackle local issues and work with businesses and service providers to improve the accessibility of their services.
