We would like to extend an invitation to you to the Bridge the Gap Employer Engagement event which is designed to enhance the employment prospects of people with a visual impairment (VIs) in the Liverpool City Region. The initiative is funded by Visionary in partnership with Bradbury Fields Services for Blind and Partially Sighted people, Merseyside Sight Loss Council and Jigsaw Coaching.

The event is being Hosted by Liverpool Football Club and will showcase the diverse skills, dedication and resilience of VIs. It will also highlight some of the practical, financial and technical support available to employers and challenge some of the myths around employing VIs.

The event is on Thursday 20th February 2020. Marsha de Cordova, the Shadow Minister for Disability has agreed to attend, and other political and business leaders have been invited to speak on a panel which will highlight both employer and employee perspectives of successful case studies of VIs in employment.

The employer engagement event is a unique opportunity to bring people together so that we can harness the skills, talents and contribution of VIs in Liverpool City Region, creating a more inclusive and fairer society. We hope you will be able to join us.
