Bridge the Gap Employer Engagement event is designed to enhance the employment prospects of blind and partially sighted people in the Liverpool City Region. The initiative is funded by Visionary in partnership with Bradbury Fields Services for Blind and Partially Sighted people, Merseyside Sight Loss Council and Jigsaw Coaching.

The event is being Hosted by Liverpool Football Club and will showcase the diverse skills, dedication and resilience of blind and partially sighted people. It will also highlight some of the practical, financial and technical support available to employers and challenge some of the myths around employing blind and partially sighted people.

The event takes place from 8:30am to 1pm on Thursday 20th February 2020. Marsha de Cordova, the Shadow Minister for Disability has agreed to attend, and other political and business leaders will be speaking on a panel which will highlight both employer and employee perspectives of blind and partially sighted people in employment.

The employer engagement event is a unique opportunity to bring people together so that we can harness the skills, talents and contribution of blind and partially sighted people in Liverpool City region, creating a more inclusive and fairer society.
